AMBASSADOR’s Emotional Affair

It was May 2009 when it became public that CrossMovement Records’s Ambassador was dropped from the label due to “moral failure in his marriage” It was a blow to the label, to his church and the whole Christian Hiphop community. Personally I was really sad because Ambassador and CMR were a great influence on my life and ministry. For those who don’t know, Ambassador is a Christian Hiphop artist and pastor. Over the years CrossMovement have been a trusted source for biblically sound teaching through hiphop and their passion for holiness this is what made the news so big.

I remember telling my pastor the news and his response was that we are all one bad day away from that becoming a reality in our own lives. And he was right, what happened to Ambassador could happen to anyone of us and its a warning for us to be aware of getting tangled up in sin.

However since 2009 the good news is that Ambassador has reconciled with his wife Michelle. I do hope this story travels faster than the bad news of his failure, after all isn’t Christianity about love and forgiveness? this is really when the rubber meets the road. To Ambassador and Michelle, If you ever read this, just want to say thank you for sharing your testimony and living out the scriptures. I pray your marriage grows to new depths.

William & Michelle Branch: An Emotional Affair

By The 700 Club

“DRIVEN TO SUCCEED”
When William and Michelle married in 1996, life began to accelerate at an incredible pace. With no break from life on the road, William resumed traveling and ministering through hip-hop, and moved with his wife to a new city to finish his bachelor’s degree. After he pursued a master’s degree at Dallas Theological Seminary, the couple returned to Philadelphia.

Michelle was generally compliant and avoided conflict, so when William began planning a new church, she withheld her reservations and desire to slow down. She occasionally had outbursts of anger, but communication between the couple declined “almost to the point where we were living separate lives in the same house,” says Michelle.

THE BREAKING POINT OF THEIR MARRIAGE:
With no help from his wife, William continued planting the new church, reaching out to anyone who would help. There was another couple eager to help, and William and the other woman began communicating regularly. William says he and the other woman had one to two hour rendezvous walking around stores or sitting in the car together.

Michelle suspected something was happening and confronted William multiple times. He always explained their communication was about church business. Eventually, Michelle confronted the other woman, who confessed to everything. William stepped down from leading the church and performing. The couple spent the next year rebuilding their lives with a marriage counselor. Watch the interview
